I am number 1.  Okay, so I'm in line at my cafeteria, filled out the form to order food and now I just have to put a number on it so they know it's me.  I look in the basket at all the plastic triangles of numbers and I see the number 1.  I hesitate to pull it.  Why?  Well, I can't be number 1.  I'm not a number 1 at anything.  What would it mean to be number 1?  Well, that would mean that I'm worthy of everything.  I could allow myself the best of everything.  I could feel good about myself.   And, yet that doesn't feel right.  I don't feel like number 1.  Although there is no reason why I should not feel like number 1.  I am the only one of me.  That would make me number 1.  So far I am the best I can be.  Again this would make me number one.  The more we convince ourselves we are number 1 the more good we allow into our lives.  For this new year make yourself #1.  That does not mean that you make anyone else less than because they too are #1 in their lives.
